Christmas time 2009

Christmas was good, even though I was totally sick and ended up on antibiotics because of it. Christmas eve Stephen & I stayed home and had my parents and my brother with his friend come over. We ate World Famous Tommy's hamburgers and drank martinellis. We spent the rest of the evening watching old home videos when we were little kids (we watched the Christmas ones of course).

For Christmas Day Stephen and I spent the morning with each other and Cobra. So it was a quiet morning (2010 won't be). Cobra got some new chew toys and a new shirt (which he totally hated).

For my Christmas present I got a new camera (Samsung). So Stephen I guess was testing it out here:Than we headed over to my brother Scot's and had Christmas with my family. We opened presents and ate turkey and ham. It was REALLY YUMMY!! We gave my parents dog Maggie and HUGE bone, which I will upload a video of that.

32 week mark!

YAY! I am at my 32 week mark this week. We went to the doctor yesterday and everything looks good. Baby Brooklind's heart beat is great! Mommy belly and weigh are good. Everything is going good. Mommy is just very uncomfortable and can't wait to have baby Brooklind! Still having cramping and breathing issues. Doctor just said to keep track and make sure the cramping doesnt become a pattern. We used are Target gift cards from the baby shower and got more of the baby stuff we were missing....so that was a fun outing. I am looking forward to Christmas this next week! It should be fun than our next holiday will be Brooklind being born :)

3D/4D Ultrasound at 31 weeks

We went to this fancy ultrasound place in Huntington Beach called Prenatal Ultrasound California. They also have a website called www.seemenowmommy.com.

It was so cool to get to do this! I just cannot believe technology these days! It is amazing. I think she looks like me. The technician did say she had a little fuzz on the back of her head (which means she will probably be a bald baby).

30 Week 4 Days Pregnant Update

As of Saturday the 5th I am 30 weeks and 4 days pregnant. Things are going good with baby Brooklind, but mommy is feeling lousy. I have been having to lay low and lay down ALOT because I have been having very mild contractions (more like menstrual type cramps). We don't want Brooklind coming this soon. I have had 3 baby showers now and I am on the home stretch. We are going to our Lamaze classes every week. We have 2 more classes to go. I just can't wait to get my body back to normal. I am so uncomfortable!!!

Chad's 3rd Birthday

Chad was so excited about his birthday this year. He is even more thrilled about Santa Claus coming to town.

We bought Chad for his birthday a Little electronic t-ball setup. It shoots the balls out. We bought him batteries for it. He was more excited about the batteries than the t-ball set.

Chad got a fireman book that he had me keep reading to him over and over again. He is way into fire engines and fireman stuff right now.

Fountain Valley Ward Baby Shower

These were the ladies who worked really hard to make this shower happen. Everything was so perfect! The food was so good. The chocolate fountain was to die for with the fresh fruit.

Kristen came from Palos Verdes/San Pedro area to be there..so nice

This quilt was made by my great aunt Marie (who has already passed). Was found in the attic at my parents. The box it was in said: " Jenny's baby girl's quilt" written in Papa's writing. So the quilt was made specifically for me and whenever I had my first baby girl. This was a HUGE surprise. This quilt will be treasured!

My Aunt Sandy drove ALL the way from Oceanside. I was so excited to see her. We are the SURVIVORS!!! We have a special bond over any other aunt I have. No one else would ever understand :)

My mom and aunt Dina. It was so good to have all these old family friends arrive. I haven't seen alot of these people since my wedding.

Thanksgiving 2009 & Christmas Card Pictures

This year we went to my brother Scot's house for Thanksgiving. I was in charge of making the mashed potatoes. I think a 10lb bag might of be a little too much, but its better than not enough! We had TONS of leftovers...but thats how it is every year.
It was quite interesting because there were pluming issues at my brothers house...from working in the kitchen and running the water through the garbage disposal ALL day that the lines got clogged. We couldn't even use the toilets at one point. It ended up all working out though.....these things only happen on holidays anyways..remember :)


It has been an ongoing tradition for someone in our family to wear this really ORANGE turkey shirt. I have been stuck with the shirt for the last 18 years. Jessica refused to wear it, but Chad wanted to. So we put it on him, even though it was huge. Someone had to uphold the tradition. My dad has had this shirt since his mission. He parents had purchased it from one of those :crazy shirt" stores and ever since than its been around. We went to park near my brothers house and took pictures for our Christmas card. Jessica came along and played while we took pictures.
My mom took our Christmas pictures for us. She took our engagement photos too. Why pay an expensive photographer when you have a good camera and your mom :)

Kaiser & Friends Coed Baby Shower

I love that it is going to be a girl because we were able to decorate with the same colors from our wedding. I made Brooklind a scrapbook with all the pregnant pictures and ultrasounds pictures. Hopefully I can keep it up after she is born. A few blank pages around a few pictures the guests were able to sign in and write a note to Brooklind.Stephen got to be there and some other guys, so it actually made it more fun!

Some friends from high school that I haven't seen in ALONG time..like 5 years! It was such a nice shower. Thank you Jane & Nick for opening your home to me and my friends for this joyous occasion. It meant alot to Stephen and I.

Pregnancy Update

I am so relieved! I passed the 3 hour glucose blood test! I don't have gestational Diabetes. YEAH! Now I can enjoy the holidays. I am now 29 weeks! How crazy! It is flying by. I just get a little nauseous in the mornings sometimes and my belly is always sore. Stephen and I start our lamaze class this Tuesday November 24. The baby is constantly moving....the doctor has me keeping track of the kick counts, but it is annoying because they want me to do it for the rest of the pregnancy, I think its a little too much.
I also had some other blood work and of course they found that I was anemic and low on iron, so I am suppose to be taking my iron supplement, but you know what that does to any person - not cool!

Carlsbad Open House Baby Shower Saturday October 31

Natalie and Jeanne (mother-in-law & sister-in-law) threw Stephen and I a open house/baby shower for Brooklind. It was very nice. Food, friends, and gifts. We got some really cute outfits and some fun stuff which I know Brooklind will love. Thanks to everyone! It was fun!

Disneyland for Natalie's Birthday (mother-in-law)

Stephen's mom Natalie and her husband Dale flew in last Thursday to spend her birthday at Disneyland and Halloween with her grandkids in Carlsbad. I met up with Natalie, Dale, and Stephen at Disneyland on Friday about lunch time because I knew I would not be able to handle being there ALL day with all the walking, etc. Plus they hit all the cool rides early in the morning anyways, the ones I can't go on.
























After I arrived we also met up with Jeanne, Mike, & there kids (sister -in-law). I was so excited because I was able to ride Toy Story Mania and Soarin Over California.




























California Adventure had this really cute Candy Corn field set up, so we got some cute pictures in there.
