Meeting up with old friends

Today I got to meet up with an old friend of mine that I used to work with at Kaiser. It was so good to chat with her and have lunch with her. We ate at Red Robin at the Irvine Spectrum. Yummy!

She got to met my baby Brooklind for the first time too. It was a nice reuniting with her. Hope to do it again soon.

Jodie's Birthday Celebration

A friend of mine in my ward at church had a birthday yesterday so some of us girls got together and went to Cheesecake Factory for dessert. It was totally fun to just get out with the girls and have girl talk. We all need that once in awhile.

Easter Day 2011

We stayed in Carlsbad over night to have Easter with Stephen's family. We went to church and it was a really nice sacrament meeting with tons of musical numbers and great talks on Christ.
Before church is when Brooklind opened her Easter basket from the Easter bunny.

We took a few pictures before church in my new Easter dress and Brooklind's new Easter dress too.

When we all got home from church the kids had an Easter egg hunt. Brooklind was actually getting the hang of it. She just gets very distracted by other things.

Matthew (nephew) Baptism Day

Today was Matthew (my nephew) baptism Day. The spirit was so strong and the talks given on baptism and the holy ghost were excellent. The boy cousins all sang and it was really good. Brooklind was such a good girl through the whole thing. We just kept feeding her snacks to keep her quiet.

We got Matthew a mini hymn book to go with his new set of scriptures that Grandma Nat got for him. It was a nice day. Tiring for everyone, but nice.

Later that afternoon we went to BJ's restaurant with just the immediate family. Brooklind always enjoys eating.

Our 1st Family Pictures

My friend from our ward at church took our family photos. She is starting up her photography business. She is wonderful and fun to work with. We took all our photos in downtown Huntington Beach. It was perfect and exactly what we wanted. Brooklind was very well behaved for it being over 2 hours of picture taking.

I am so excited to get the prints printed and enlarged for our family portrait in our living room and all over the house. We got some really good shots of Brooklind by herself too.

The last couple of days we have taken Brooklind to the park. She loves having the freedom to run around now. She loves watching other kids playing. Its pretty funny. She is finally starting to like the slide, which is good.

Big Bear Conference Weekend

This past weekend we went up to Big Bear to visit my parents and check out my brother Steve's ranch in Lucerne Valley.

We also went to the Big Bear zoo. That was such a fun experience because we went during feeding time. All the animals were very active and entertaining. They have three grizzly bears, 3 black bears, a huge family of wolves, bald eagles, cougar, and more.

Brooklind & Cobra (the dog) both like to beg for food from me at the same time. Brooklind will slap Cobra out of the way because she wants more, its pretty funny.

My Birthday Week

WOW! I am 27 now. This past week I have had some fun with family and friends. A week before my birthday I went to Medieval Times for the first time. It was my friend Brianna's birthday (week later was mine). It was totally fun!! It was good to see Brianna and hangout again. Thanks!!

The next day after Brooklind had fun trying on my crown from the party. It really was fun. You really feel like you are part of that time period. Watching the tournament and eating food with your hands. The dessert pastry was the best part (better than an apple turnover from Arbys).

The following week was my birthday and I turned 27th. Mainly just spent the day with Brooklind relaxing at home because Stephen had to work. When he got home we went out to dinner at Cheesecake Factory. Brooklind learned to point when you say: "wheres daddy, wheres mommy, wheres Cobra." So cute!!

The next day we took family pictures of us and Brooklind in Downtown Huntington Beach. We haven't seen the pictures, but I hear she got some awesome ones. I can't wait to see them.
