Trip to the Orange County Zoo

Irvine Regional park is a huge park that has huge grassy areas, a train, OC zoo, and rentals for paddle boats and bikes. We decided to finally go check it out. It is in the city of Orange, so we all went there as a family today. We did the zoo first and ate a little lunch in the park afterward.

First stop in the zoo was the Childrens zoo which was mainly farm animals and a petting zoo

I think at first she was a little confused that they might be dogs :) But she started to get the hang of it and was petting all the goats.

The rest of the zoo trip we walked around and saw the rest of the animals. Bears, bobcats, eagles, gross snakes, raccoons, and more.

There were many nice spots to take pictures, so we took advantage. I got such good pictures of Brooklind and Stephen.

Brooklind's Personality lately

For the most part Brooklind is always laughing and smiling. She loves getting her picture taken now. Above picture she is modeling her new shoes that her Grandma got for her. She loves shoes and loves clothes! She is such a girly girl!!

She is getting way too smart. Tonight Stephen asked her something and she said loud and clear "NO"! In this above picture I asked her if her diaper needed to be changed, and Yes it did....HAHA!
She got this baby bottle for her baby doll and carrying it around the house ALL the time. She trying to feed everyone with it. Stephen, Stephen's knee, Cobra (doggy), dolls, and more.

She always gets upset with me when I don't let her up on my bed. This was toward the end of the night, so thats when we know its "bedtime".

She is a great kid! We are so blessed to have her! She minds so well and actually listens to us. We tell her go get your shoes and she will bring a pair that match when she wants to go "bye bye". She will throw away something in the trash if you tell her to. She runs to the fridge when you ask if you want milk. She is getting smarter by the day and picking up on everything. So WE (mom & dad) need to be well mannered ourselves :)

Granparents visiting this week!!!

I am so grateful to be able to have my parents staying with us this week. It has been so nice and I am so glad they are getting quality time with Brooklind. Brooklind is loving the attention of course!

First off Brooklind has become more interested in the piano. My mom played with her and she was loving it. My dad played chop sticks with her too.

On our first day of them here we ate at Arbys and that was Brooklinds first experience there. She ate a whole roast beef sandwich and fries. We ran around town and I got a nice treat for me....a pedicure!!! Oh my did that feel good. It has been way too long.
This is my dad giving Brooklind coke - she would not sleep that night, so we banded my dad from giving her anything else while they were here. She was just wired.

SECOND DAY we got to spend some time with my brother and his kids, so Brooklind got to play with her cousins Jessica & Chad. We went to this place in Fountain Valley called Froggs Bounce House. Brooklind was still a little too small for it, but her cousins protected her from the mean kids.We all ate at Tommys hamburgers and it was yummy!

THIRD Day.... We mainly hung out and ran errands. My Dad took me to pick up my Mary Kay order, we went to a bunch of places my parents wanted to go because they don't have much in Big Bear Lake. Basically a Kmart and thats about it.
We ate at McDonalds, which Brooklind has never been there. So she got her very first Happy Meal. She didn't care much for the play area, but loved her food. Thats Brooklind for you. She loves to eat.
Last night Mom and Dad were here we went to Dads favorite store - Harbor Freight and mom and I went next door and just looked around the Dollar Tree. Brooklind loves trying on silly hats and things like that when we are shopping.
We were sad to see mom and Dad leave today! It was good that they got to spend quality time with Brooklind and she totally LOVED it!!! Thanks Mom and Dad!!! We love you
