Halloween Night 2011

Brooklind was Snow white! It was so funny to see her in the black wig. She would only leave it on for pictures, at least we got that.

This is Brooklind with her cousins Jessica and Chad. We went to my brothers in Torrance to take Brooklind trick or treating so she could go with her cousins. She loved it. The next day she was so tired from all the walking. She did good on candy, but the problem is guess whos eating it all??? Mommy and Daddy!!!

Everytime Brooklind would go up to a house the people giving out candy were like " awwww she is so adorable, shes so cute she gets extra candy". She also wanted to walk inside of everyones homes, especially the ones that had "doggies".

Trunk of Treat @ Church

We were Snow White and the evil witch. My costume was so heavy and so warm that I ended up not wearing it at all! Brooklind would not wear her wig so I eneded up wearing it, but it went good with my spider halloween shirt.

We are ALL ready to go trunk or treating at the church now. It was so fun so see everyone from our ward dressed up too.

Brooklind got to trick or treat with kids closer to her age which was more fun for her.

We were watching a huge group perform the dance to "Thriller" - it was awesome!!

Pumpkin Carving 2011

The Thursday before Halloween we decided to carve the pumpkin. Brooklind was more into it this year. She tried to eat all the insides from the pumpkin. Yuck!She was very excited!!! When we lite the candy inside the pumpkin she was amazed!!

We decided to do a happy pumpkin and not a sad scary one this year.

Tanaka Farms Pumpkin Patch

The last couple years we go to Tanaka Farms in Irvine to pick out a pumpkin for Halloween. It fun to walk around and pick out your own. Plus they have a hay ride, corn maze, and petting zoo too.

It was pretty warm this week so we wern't there as long as we normally are.

This farm also does strawberry picking, watermelons picking, and veggies too.


Brooklind would crawl all over the pumpkins and sit on them. She was very into it.

Disneyland Choc Walk 2011

Every year we like to go to the CHOC walk for the Childrens hospital at Disneyland. We go with Stephen's work (Wescom Credit Union). It is so early, but so fun! Brooklind loved it and we took her to Disneyland afterwards.

It is such a different experience when you take your own kid to Disneyland than just going by yourself or another adult. It is way more fun to watch their expressions and see how excited they get.
We were there most of the day, but man were we tired!! We did most the fantasyland rides, jungle cruise, tiki room, Winnie the Pooh, ate food (Brooklinds favorite), and many many more fun things.

She is new to the area so she did Brooklind so I could show them off to friends and family. Brooklind was so good and loves the attention. SUCH A HAM!!

Labor Day Weekend in Big Bear

We went up to Big Bear for Labor Day weekend. Brooklind didn't car sick going up the mountain, but going down the mountain this time. But I was prepared for it this time, so it wasn't much of a clean up job this time.

Brooklind figured out to climb all the way up the ladder to the loft this time, but doesn't know what to do when she gets to the top. It was a fun adventure for her this trip. She had a lot more new things to encounter.
We went to the swim beach the next day (Saturday) and Brooklind got to play with her cousins Chad and Jessie in the Lake and on the sand. She had a blast just walking around and eating!
After the beach the kids were all dirty, so it was bath time. Brooklind and her cousins were so funny!

She has corn on the cob for the first time and absolutely loved it!!!
We went to Dollar Taco Night on Tuesday - they were yummy too!

Brooklind LOVED playing outside. Even after her cousins left she would still play out there.

She loved playing with the dogs. It was funny she like Maggie the lab better because she just kissed her a lot, but Shelby the boxer like to play tackle. So she wasn't as fond of her. But she really does well defending herself against the big dogs.
