Halloween!!

I dressed up as a baseball player and worn it basically all day. I wore it to work and mostly everyone at work dressed up too. I got a bunch of pictures from work. It made the work day so much more relaxing and fun! At work be also had a pumpkin decortaing/carving contest...we got 2nd place. But didn't get anything for it. The Monsters Inc. thing was all my idea and I spend alot of time on working on the pumpkin. thanks to Gail and Lora though I had some help with the paint. I got to bring Mike home...so that was cool
KD and Potas as out inmates....they were perfect.I also went out halloween night with my Scot, Miriam, Jessie, and Chad. We went trick or treating for a little while.

Disneyland and CHOC Walk @ Disneyland

I got to go with my Stephen to the CHOC walk at Disneyland (the charity walk for the childrens hospital of Orange county). It was very tiring, only because we had to wake up at 5am!! I am not a morning person. I ended up being totally fun!

I got to get many pictures of me with the characters and than we got to spend the day at Disneyland and California adventure. We got a hotel that evening so we would have a place to take a nap and to sleep the evening after so we wouldnt have to drive home. It was awesome. We got on just about everything we wanted

Grateful that weekends exist!!

I had the opportunity to go to my niece and nephews (Jessica & Chads) Halloween parade/party at their day care yesterday (Friday). They looked so cute.

RRRR...look at that pirate look. HEHE
The day care hired a man to do this puppet show for the kids, it was all halloween themed characters......totally cute. Jessica and Chad were glued. They had food and games afterwards. It was fun to just see all the kids dressed up in their costumes. I'm dressing up at work this year (a girly baseball player)... I can't wait.

Well, today i had to go to class for my history class and finally turned in a freakin essay and now i am working on more midterms and homework for my other classes. My mom and dad were nice enough to come down this weekend to watch my doggie because Stephen and I are going on a little get away. We signed up to do the charity CHOC walk at Disneyland tomorrow...than we are going to both parks and staying the night in a hotel out that way. We are excited because we get to go to Disneyland and just be alone for awhile, somewhere other than home. Well, I will hopefully be posting pictures of Disneyland and the CHOC walk soon.........

Prop 8!

VOTE YES ON PROP 8!! PROTECT TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE and our Children!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYbZAHfVCNw (please watch this clip)

I watched the broadcast this last week and Elder Ballard kept emphasizing the importance of members of our church getting involved and talking to people about it! We need to vote YES so we can protect marriage. Same sex marriages still have the same rights where they get the same benefits as a married couple would, just don't being married. Marriage is foreordained by God for a man and a women. They are they only to that can have children to replenish the earth also. it is very important that we vote YES, because this can affected our children's curriculum at school too. So Vote YES!!!!!!!!

Went to Carlsbad this last weekend

We went to Carlsbad this weekend and took Cobra along for the ride. We mainly went to just see my Jeanne, mike, and the kids, and our friend Amber for her birthday. We went to Mariah's (niece) t-ball game and then to "that pizza place" for lunch for Amber's birthday. Saturday evening we went out to dinner to the elephant bar, the kids were funny with their monkey glasses.
I got to play with baby tyler, which was nice. Than we sleep alot!! It was a nice weekend, but always too short! Baby Tyler at "that pizza place"
Mariah eatin' dots!
Amber and her Tyler...he was watching the football game

Update on our lives

I think I am finally getting used to this whole Young womens calling. It is just hard to have to go during the week too after you have been at work ALL day. Well currently I am just planning the future in my head. I am looking for a new job (salaried position) within the healthcare industry. I will finally be done with ALL my classes at the end of Decemeber. Than we are hoping to get out of LA and move to San Diego area (Carlsbad, Oceanside, San Marcos, or Vista). I can't wait. I keep telling Stephen I want a baby, but he keeps saying not yet :) LOL HEHEHE.... well that is just the update right now. Stephen is in school full time too. We are both tired all the time and can't wait to get over this hump in our lives.

Yosemite Labor day weekend adventure

Stephen and I met up with my family (Scot &Miriam with the kids, mom & Dad, and Steve). We were there all weekend! It was soo dirty, but so fun. It was Stephen's first time there, he totally loved it!

We rode our bikes all over the valley, ate S'mores, tried to hunt for bears, saw deer, went to the visitor center, went down to the river and let Cobra swim (he was not happy). Even went over to the Yosemite cemetery.

Everything was fun. It was hot there!!!

Everything was sooo pretty, but I was sooo sad because there was no water in the falls and very low in the rivers. But, we still had tons of fun!
Chad was way into the marshmallow roasting stick.
We are the tortilla face family, it got somewhat bored around the fire. You have to entertain yourself somehow!
The drive was just took long though! I give Stephen props for driving all the way there and basically all the way back. BEST NATIONAL PARK I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO!!

Driver's license & labor day weekend

I went to the DMV today and only waited about 15 minutes. I got my new license with my new name. I can't wait to get it in the mail. Everything went sooo smoothly and I am even going to get a new picture on it :)

I am also looking forward to Labor Day weekend. We are leaving tomorrow for Yosemite National Park. I can't wait to camp. It will be nice to get away from reality for the weekend!

My First Young Women's lesson

I did excellent today on my first young women's lesson at church. The lesson was on scripture study. I feel pretty confident that I got the message across. i don't meant to sound cocky, but i felt really good about it afterwards. I. Thanks for all the support from the leaders and Young women. It made it so much easier with the feedback. I was just called a few weeks ago to the beehive advisor in young womens. I am feeling much better now. I am trying to achieve my calling as much as I can.
My main message in my lesson was to read a little of your scriptures a day and you will guaranteed have the comfort and strength you need to get through the day. GUARANTEE!!
I feel sooo much better today than what I have been feeling lately. I have finally seen everything in perspective. Its hard. But I know I can handle it. I can handle anything after what my lives trials have been since I was 18.
Jesus Christ said :
" The way may be difficult at times, but i will always be there"
"He never said it would never be easy, but he did say it would be worth it.'
