Brooklind under quarantine

So After Tuesday of Brooklind having a 102 temperature, Wednesday throwing up, Thursday a  rash on her butt, and Friday the rash ALL over I knew I needed to take her into the doctor to make sure it wasn't anything scary.
I suspected it might be that mouth, hand, foot virus going around and the doctor did confirm that it was just that. The only thing we could really give her is Tylenol if it was hurting her (the rash gets blistery is certain parts). When we found this out we knew it was contagious.
I spoke with a few friends that had to deal with this on their kids and I guess they are contagious mainly from 10 days from the onset. So Today is the 6th day, so we are just going to have to hangout at home this week again.
In the meantime she is acting totally herself. Besides those two days (Tuesday's fever & Wednesday throwing up). She itches at it ever so often and is swallowing fine. I guess some kids get the sores/rash really bad in their mouth near their throat. Thankfully Brooklind didn't get it so bad there. But now my concern is that we caught it, especially me being pregnant. So a lot of hand washing around here lately.

Big girl bed!!

Brooklind this week had a fever of 101.5 and than later almost 102. She was sick for about two days. So I don't know if she caught a bug or if it was something else totally random. Her fever went away after a day and the next morning she threw up and only threw up the time. So now she is fine and acting herself again.

After cool bathes, alot of laying down watching her shows on Netflix (Yo Gabba Gabba, Sesame Street, and Leap Frog), Popsicles, and lots of fluids she seems to be just fine now.

During all this she was so tired that she laid in her big girl bed and stayed there. She even slept in there overnight. So now that shes not sick anymore she doesn't like to stay in her bed and she gets up and plays with her toys. Putting her to bed last night was a job it probably took a few hours until she actually fell asleep. And than today for nap time it took about  1 1/2 hours with a lot of crying. It was making me so frustrated, but glad she finally fell asleep.

Knotts Berry Farm June 2012

We all went as a family to Knott's Berry Farm. Brooklind is old enough to ride most of the stuff in camp snoopy now. Daddy had to ride most of the stuff with her because being pregnant I can't even go on some of the kiddy rides. SO LAME!!! One reason why I like Disneyland better, its a little more family oriented.
We went with my brother, his wife, and kids (Jessica and Chad). Brooklind had fun with her cousins especially.

The first ride we choose in camp snoopy was this school bus this that went up and down (kinda high). Brooklind definately was not too fond of it, but she never cried. She just couldn't wait to get off of it.
Second she rode the big rig with her daddy. She liked this one alot more. Got to honk and annoying horn the whole time.
She rode this spinning ride by herself. She just looked so serious the whole time, so we don't even know if she liked it. She doesn't really show too much expression when she likes something.

The snoopy bounce house was her favorite - she was laughing and jumping the whole time. Even though she kept falling down she was still laughing.
The balloon race ride I got to ride with her. She liked this one too. It was more low key. She kept saying balloon the whole time we were riding.

All of us riding the little kid train in camp snoopy together.

We actually caught SNOOPY. Brooklind was very into him. She was saying Hi and gave him an High five when she saw him. When we were saying bye she just kept waving and saying bye to him. It was so cute. Us parents weren't too sure if she was going to like him or not.
Brooklind and I on the old Calico train that has been there for years. The robber guys even showed up and said "put your hands up" and Brooklind had her hands up and kept saying "up". She is so funny!!
The famous jail in ghost town right when you walk into the park. This is my favorite picture from that day.
We had tons of fun!!! Everyone else went on the log ride while I waited. Brooklind didn't even get scared. She just looked serious the whole time.  Brooklind did really well without a nap all day. I did okay too. We actually had to rent a wheelchair for me because I am not suppose to be walking vigorously for no more than 30 minutes. It was weird to have to be pushed around. So Brooklind just sat on my lap so we didn't have to bring a stroller too. The weather was perfect and not too hot either.

Pregnancy update

I went to the doctor a week ago and everything checked out normal. The babies heartbeat was perfect and everything else looked good. My doctor gave me my results for my 19/20 week ultrasound from the previous week and everything is right no track. The baby is developing normal and on track. My fluids are good and everything is normal. What a relief!!! We were so glad!
I will be 21 weeks tomorrows. I am more than halfway there! YEAH YEAH!! Its actually going by a lot faster than the last pregnancy. I am also feeling the baby move alot more these days. I have felt some pretty goods kicks a few times too. Its so amazing that there is a baby in there! It still such a cool feeling.
These pictures were taken at 20 weeks - my sister in law got me this awesome shirt.
So I am almost 21 weeks and I feel like 31 weeks. I have really been having to learn to take it easy. It is so hard to with a 2 year old that weighs 30lbs. I have had two incidents now where I have over done myself and had more than braxton hicks, so I have totally freaked myself out. The first one I had done alot of walking that day (probably about an hours worth) and that even I had some hard contractions that actually hurt. The second time was just this morning: yesterday I went to the beach and from walking from the car with Brooklind and walking on the sand to get to our spot on the beach was TOO much walking I guess. So this morning I woke up at 6:45am (after Stephen had already left for work) and I was having back to back mini contractions that were very uncomfortable). It went on for about  30 minutes so I went to the bathroom than starting down tons of water to get me hydrated. Than I just laid in bed on my left side to rest. The cramping/contractions finally went away. Thank goodness!! I was about ready to call the doctor and head to the hospital.
Of course now at this point I was having to pee a billion times, but I was grateful the contractions stopped. So now I REALLY need to learn to take it easy. I don't want them to have to put me on bed rest.

Memorial Day 2012

We spend our memorial day just local and stayed home this year. We realized that every year since we have been married we spend memorial weekend up in Big Bear Lake at my parents. But this year it just didn't work out. We took a picnic lunch to the park and let Brooklind play. Later that evening we BBQ steak and corn on the cob. It was nice and relaxing. I think we even got in A NAP sometime too. It was a pretty low key day, which is what we were looking for this year.

Brooklind also loves playing with her Little Tikes water table. Its perfect for a warm day.

End of May 2012

Lately Brooklind is obsessed with trying on my sunglasses and high heels, well any of my shoes for that matter. But she always goes for the high heels. She thinks she is so "cool". She is saying so many more words and putting together sentences now. She says:
I'm Cold
Cool
Hot
dog
Up
I want
I am going
lets go
 car
show
cup
cheese
cookie or cake
mom & dad
shoes
shower
bye & hi
bear and boo
night night
the list goes on....thats all that I can think of right now
She loves the camera and will pose sometimes - but she is usually really serious.
We have been working on potty training: She can now poop on the toilet, but still working on pee. When you know she needs to go to the potty you tell her to get to the potty and she will run in there and turn on the light and put her seat on the toilet. When she sees what she has put in the toilet she claps and says "YEAH". She feels even prouder because now she even flushes the toilet.

This last week we went to the beach with a few friends from church. Brooklind got to play with a few little boys (both are 1 year old and I think maybe 9 months or so). She had so much fun with them. She is starting to really love the sand and the water.
