End of May 2012

Lately Brooklind is obsessed with trying on my sunglasses and high heels, well any of my shoes for that matter. But she always goes for the high heels. She thinks she is so "cool". She is saying so many more words and putting together sentences now. She says:
I'm Cold
Cool
Hot
dog
Up
I want
I am going
lets go
 car
show
cup
cheese
cookie or cake
mom & dad
shoes
shower
bye & hi
bear and boo
night night
the list goes on....thats all that I can think of right now
She loves the camera and will pose sometimes - but she is usually really serious.
We have been working on potty training: She can now poop on the toilet, but still working on pee. When you know she needs to go to the potty you tell her to get to the potty and she will run in there and turn on the light and put her seat on the toilet. When she sees what she has put in the toilet she claps and says "YEAH". She feels even prouder because now she even flushes the toilet.

This last week we went to the beach with a few friends from church. Brooklind got to play with a few little boys (both are 1 year old and I think maybe 9 months or so). She had so much fun with them. She is starting to really love the sand and the water.

Beach with Great Grandma Nonna

Brooklind got to spend some time with her great grandma Nonna from Utah. Nonna used to live in California, but has missed the beach ALOT!!!

We had to rent a beach wheelchair. I didn't even know those existed.

Jessica's Baptism day (my niece)

My niece Jessica and Brooklind before she got baptized

The week before we met up with Stephen's family at Cafe Rio ( his aunts, uncles, cousins, niece, nephews, brother in law, and sister). It was a nice evening.
Brooklind loves posing in front of this wall for all our pictures!

19/20 week ultrasound

So I went Friday for the 20 week ultrasound (but I am 19 weeks a 1 day right now). Basically this ultrasound checks everything to make sure all the organs, limbs, and body parts are all there and developing correctly. They did confirm that it is a girl still :)

This week I have my regular prenatal appointment so they will go over all the ultrasound results than. The technician gave me so really cool pictures. It still amazes me how technology is and everything you are able to see! Even though I've done all this before the ultrasounds are still exciting and never get old.

Pregnancy update

This picture I am 17 weeks 3 days

Now I am 18 weeks and 2 days. I am STILL feeling the morning sickness/nausea. I have tried a perscription called zofran that does work, but than you can't go to the bathroom. So that just wasn't fun anymore. Now I am trying another med that some friends told me about. It hasnt even been a week, but hopefully I start feeling better soon!!

My body us definitely growing!! AND FAST! Brooklind is not understanding she needs to be careful with mommy so that has been very frustrating and a few kicks to my belly and I am sore for a few days. She spends some time behind the baby gate playing a lot these days.

I have my 18-20 weeks ultrasound this Friday to make sure the baby is growing and developing correctly and that everything else is going okay. They will confirm too we are having another little girl. Our 13 week ultrasound they were 99.9% sure so there shouldn't be any surprises.

Between 20-25 weeks I need to do the glucose blood test. Not looking forward to that because I hate orange soda. So the nasty stuff they make you drink is exactly like that :( Nothing else really to update on. Just trying to take it easy because I have been having some uncomfortable contractions lately. So thats a sign I need to take it easy momma!!!!!!

Mormon Helping Hands project May 2012

Our ward every year volunteers with the city of Fountain Valley to help plant and mulch Mile Square park. It was really hot this day, but so many people showed up so the work got done.

Brooklind tried to help and I did as much as I could being pregnant.

It's a girl!

We found out today that we will be having another girl in October. Brooklind is so excited to have a little sister!

The ultrasound tech showed us the "3 lines" and the pelvic area and it is 99% sure that its definitely a girl. Now we need to decide on a name, but we have some time I guess :)
